Here's the news you've all been waiting for. The "CBSA Championships" are right around the corner. The No-Passage tournament will take place on Sunday October 14 at 2pm. Practice will begin at 12pm. The cost is 40$ per team. Loser pays. The woman's doubles tournament will also be on Sunday, but will begin at 5pm. Practice to begin at 4pm. The cost will be 20$ per team, loser pays. The top 3 teams will receive prize money collected from ticket sales. The Passage tournament will be on Monday the 15th of October. Practice to begin at 5pm with the tournament starting at 6:30pm. The cost is 40$ per team, loser pays. Men's Passage & No-Passage teams ranked from 1st to 6th will receive prize money. 1st - 1400$, 2nd - 600$, 3rd - 400$, 4th - 300$, 5th - 150$, 6th - 150$ Positions 7 & 8 will receive free passes to the next C.B.S.A. Tournament. All players 1st to 8th will receive a free T-shirt. Throughout the two days, there will be a "Speed ball tournament" This event will be open to anyone interested in participating. A woman's only event will be held on Sunday. This will be a first for the C.B.S.A. This is how it works. The cost is 5$, in turn you get 5 balls. You will be allowed 5 shots that must score on the net. The ball must also be in motion when hit. The speed of the ball will be gauged by a radar gun. At the end of the day, the person with the fastest goal wins the event. The money collected will be split between the winner of the event and a local charity. The C.B.S.A. will be offering prizes from several sponsors including Molson, Coca Cola, Scores, Scratch, DL window tinting, etc... Prizes will be raffled off randomly during the two days.
